Fiction? oh really?? - The Da Vinci Code Reviews

The movie was a bore, and that has nothing to do with my beliefs. I take issue with the folks who say this is just "fiction" so people should stop criticizing the movie. Come on! Dan Brown was quoted as saying that he BELIEVES EVERY WORD he wrote in teh book. If it were fiction no one would care. You want the best of both worlds...you want to call the movie/book fiction, but you want everyone to believe the plot and all the "research" that went into uncovering this huge conspiracy. The Priory of Sion was created in 1956 and Pierre-Plantard planted all the "secret documents" in various libraries in France. There is no evidence that Jesus married Mary. Many people believed Jesus was divine before Constantine "upgraded" his status at Nicea. Brown wants you to take these points as FACT, when they are FICTION. If the author himself would admit his book was fiction, I'd agree with him!
